Pilgrimage Every Day

About

Pilgrimage Every Day is where I explore my thoughts. It’s mostly short musings about books, travel, and family life. Sometimes I’m just linking to materials I’ve posted elsewhere. I talked about my decision to start this site in my first post.

I taught high school world history for twenty-five years. Now I primarily write Liberating Narratives to help educators decolonize the teaching of world history by centering African, Asian, Indigenous, Latinx, and marginalized voices in the classroom. I love traveling and have been to over seventy countries. My travels often take me to historical sites, where I reflect on how to teach about other places in the world in a more engaging manner. I also love a delicious vegan meal.
